The most important person you’ll ever manage is yourself. Truly successful people have several ways of doing this. Most of us compare ourselves to others to orient ourselves on the road to success. But there is another avenue to self-assessment that may be more meaningful.
For Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett (The Sage of Omaha), it’s what he calls his “Inner Scorecard.” He has a profound observation in this regard. “The big question about how people behave is whether they’ve got an Inner Scorecard or an Outer Scorecard.
