I’m not sure where the first half of 2023 went (if you do, please let me know). If you’re like me, there’s a few things I intended to be accomplished by now or at least be well under way that sadly I can classify as neither.

Fortunately, there’s still another six months. To that end, let me share two TED talks by two insightful women that are helping me reset for the rest of 2023.

Dr. Carol Dweck’s TED talk has been viewed over 14 million times. I’ve featured this in years past, but if you haven’t started toward a goal set in early January, or have tried and got set back, Dr. Dweck will help you understand the importance of the power of believing that you can improve, which she calls the “Power of Yet.”

If you have children or young people in your life, this video is particularly compelling

The other TED Talk is looks at our ethical and our moral lives. Dr. Dolly Chugh offers the profound suggestion that we let go of becoming a ‘good’ person…and focus on becoming a ‘better’ person.”

I hope the insights of these two women help you make the rest of your 2023 is as good as you had hoped it would be at its beginning.
