Most of us, or our children, grew up with, the characters from Sesame Street. The late Carroll Spinney who played the role of “Big Bird” for several decades starting in 1969 had some real challenges when the show premiered because the costume was 8 feet tall, and he wasn’t. There was no way for him to see what was going on.
