Women have made extraordinary gains in the past 50 years, and it seems likely will continue to do so. It is interesting that women now outnumber men on college campuses.
In the US we pride ourselves, rightly so, on the fact that so many people from other nations want to immigrate here. But, maybe we should become concerned about the findings in a recent report from the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security that ranked the 10 Best Countries for Women in 2023.
The US did not make the top 10 cut….coming in at 37th. We can certainly address the reasons why, and we should, lest our best and brightest women start a trend of immigration to countries that appear to value them more than we appear to.
