The advent of AI in some ways feels like a slow-motion replay of the early days of Covid when there was a lot of fear and negative fantasies about what lay ahead and what to do about it. Without question, there may be unintended consequence of new technologies, but history teaches that they can be anticipated and if not anticipated, coped with when they materialize while still reaping the benefits of what they provide us.
