In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the then young baby boomers challenged their elders’ authority with their generation’s rallying cry, “Don’t trust anybody over 30.” According to a recent survey, many of those same Boomers who are now running corporate America are increasingly saying “Don’t trust anyone under 30!”.

Suzanne Lucas, also known as the “Evil HR Lady,” offers a provoking article that summarizes some controversial findings of how many Boomer employers are steering clear of Gen Z employees. She recaps findings of an Intelligent.com survey of how Boomers feel about Gen Z…“The survey found that many managers prefer working with older, more experienced employees and are willing to pay a premium to ensure that.”

Ms. Lukas responds, “If you ask me, I think the goal (of the survey) is to show how awful Gen Z is, and instead, it demonstrates three things to me.”
