The pandemic created waves of unexpected change. The heath, and very lives of millions were the primary effect, but every event can have “second order effects”; often significant ones. Regarding Covid, such effects have been seen in the form of a strong housing market, work from home options, booming stock market and an upside-down talent market to name but a few. In particular, there have been significant relocations of population made possible not only by government largesse but to the ability of some many to permanently work remotely, enabling an ability to live where they will.
Vistage Speaker, CEO of Carl Schroeder of Geostrategies, advises our members where to focus their sales and marketing efforts based on demographics. He recently published a graphic executive summary of the post-Covid population shifts. “One core metric is population change. (This) series of maps show the 10 most populated metros in the US, and is pretty sobering, unless you live in Dallas.” Check out Mr. Schroeder’s “ $100 million Dollar Map Series: US Population Change last 2 Years.”
