“A watershed moment” is how several panelists on a BBC segment characterized the latest technology in the Artificial Intelligence(AI) arena: ChatGPT. Basically, it answers questions based on written prompts and is able to provide essays, poems, and even computer-generated code. The dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow up questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests.” 

Microsoft is mulling a reported $10 billion ChatGPT creator Open AI. Some schools have already banned ChatGPT because it allows students to generate papers that are hard to distinguish from the real thing.

As a BBC segment that provided an 8-minute overview of this technology stated, “It puts AI in the hands of the masses.”
